Community Relations Officer Matt Lemos reported the no parking signs will be going up near Piping Rock Apartments.  Also signs will be posted at the Sunrise property to prohibit riding of ATVs and will be enforced. There was a burglary of some items from an unlocked shed on Fleetwood Drive.

Alderwoman Stephanie Cummings received the Volunteer of the Year Award for her book drive which collected more than 30,000 books. Proposed budget increase is 1.99 mills, state funding for education cost sharing will probably be reduced so please attend any upcoming public forums to have a voice. Upcoming agenda will address an increase in the elderly tax credit, about $250.  Still discussing renovation & addition to Wendell Cross School instead of building another school, might need more land for additional parking. Proposed ceiling on car taxes might not happen because of the state cuts in funding,  The East End Community club is sponsoring a free shredding day on May 7th at the FC Credit union on Meriden Road from 8:30 am til noon.
