MINUTES
DECEMBER 19, 2018

Meeting was called to
order at 7:10 pm which began with the Pledge of Allegiance and followed by a
Moment of Silence for our departed neighbors.
Secretary Dory St. John
reported:

A brief summary
of the November meeting was presented. A
full report of the November minutes are posted on the
EMNA website.
·
Minutes for
today’s meeting will be posted on the EMNA website.
·
Correspondence
included: Get Well cards were sent to
Dave Muccino and Bill Colgan. A Sympathy
card was sent to the Ponzillo family.
·
Four new
neighbors moved into the East Mountain neighborhood: Peach Orchard Rd., East Mountain Rd.,
Pineridge Rd., and Shadybrook Lane.
·
A Thank You note
was received from Jude & Angie Souffrant for the
Dunkin Donuts gift card as a welcoming gift to the neighborhood.
Treasurer Colin Coburn

Current report
for November 1st
through November 30th was presented at the meeting and will be on
file. If anyone would like any further
information regarding the Treasurer’s Report please contact him
·

Neighborhood Council
Representative Randee Hickey reported:

At the last
meeting everyone was very welcoming.
·
The meeting was
very well organized.
·
They will be
adopting streets to plant flowers, etc.
·
The council will give
full support to all neighborhood members.
Due to their absence there
were no reports from:

Community Property Project

Old Business:
·
Christmas Tree
lights were installed on November 24th
·
Santa’s visit
scheduled for December 2nd was cancelled due to inclement weather.
New Business:
·
New Police Chief
for the City of Waterbury will be invited to speak at a future EMNA Meeting.
·
A request was put
in for new flags and they will be installed sometime in May.
·
We still need
volunteers for the Hospitality Committee from January through May.
Community Relations
Officer Charles Carangelo reported:
·
A speed monitor
was installed on Route 69 a week ago.
There were 15 instances of speeding.
·
New Street lights
will be installed as the LED lights become available.
·
An Editorial
written by an elderly Waterbury resident was read by Mike Stere regarding how
helpful Officer Carangelo was to her when her car
stalled on Lakewood Rd.
