Meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Pres. Mike
Stere and
followed by a moment of silence for deceased
neighbors.
Bob Beaudoin-Academy of Karate
·
A karate demonstration was performed by
Bob Beaudoin and his students
Officer Tiffany Healey reported:
·
Car break-ins and many cars left unlocked
·
Patrol division is holding a Citizens
Police Academy beginning Mon., Sept. 25 for the fall. It continues for 8 weeks.
·
Applications are available for entry level
police officer test on Sept. 26,2017.
State Representative/Alderwoman Stephanie Cummings
reported:
·
There is still no state budget and
negotiations are continuing among the parties involved.
Correspondence:
·
Thank you note from Tom Conway family was
read and accepted.
·
A letter from Mike Giusto, stating his
resignation from the Waterbury Development Corporation, was read and accepted.
City Liaison Officer reported:
·
"The Gathering" will be held
Sept. 23,2017 in Library Park from11am to 6pm.
·
Car tax bills will be sent out by Oct.
1,2017.
Neighborhood Watch Commander Bob McGovern reported:
·
A neighbor reported a teenager was smoking
marijuana on school property (W. Cross)
Community Property Project:
·
Tom Brunnock said Inland/Wetlands voted in
favor of the project. Several more
meetings are upcoming. He asked for a financial contribution to be
made by members
to the legal fund for the
project. It would be greatly
appreciated.
Old Business:
·
Mike Ptak reported that 100 people
attended "Movie in the Park."
It was an enjoyable evening for everyone.
·
President Mike Stere thanked the committee
which worked on the annual newsletter. Nicole
Stere was thanked for her work in assembling the newsletter.

Roland (Skip) Hamel is the new website
master.
